Information

Autumn is one of the absolute best times of the year for pike fishing.
As water temperatures drop, pike start feeding heavily to prepare for winter and will gladly attack larger prey. That’s why we’ve put together the ultimate autumn bundle carefully selected by Tobias Ekvall, Edvin Johansson, August Lägervik, and Niclas Edström – filled with lures that are proven to trigger brutal autumn strikes!

Pro tip: Fish slow! Pike in autumn often strike when the lure pauses or moves very slowly. Also, don’t be afraid to change spots often – finding where the pike are holding is key. With the right lures and tactics, you have every chance to experience those explosive autumn strikes.

Niclas Edström’s tip: When the water cools, baitfish often school up in open water. He recommends fishing along drop-offs that lead out to pelagic areas using big soft baits like the Hooligan Roach 21cm. It displaces a lot of water, can be retrieved very slowly, and has that irresistible “big fish wobble” – perfect for fooling that true autumn giant.

Tobias Ekvall’s tip: Move often until you find where the pike are holding – and fish very slowly once you do.

August Lägervik’s tip: He loves fishing in rough weather, preferably along deep edges holding lots of baitfish. Every lake and sea is different, so you need to understand where the pike in your water system find food. What do the biggest pike in your lake eat? To catch a true trophy, you need to spend a lot of time in the right places – patience is a pike angler’s best friend!

Edvin Johansson’s tip: Target the areas where baitfish gather when the water cools, often along drop-offs or near deeper water. His favorite choice is the Fatnose Shad 23cm.
