Open Rules

Team of maximum three anglers are allowed. 

All competitors must continuously wear a life jacket, life jacket, buoyancy aid or other buoyancy garment from that boat leaving port until the boat is back in port. Applicable sea rules and speed rules must always be followed. In case of emergency, contact with competition management must always take place as soon as possible. Should the report system breakdown. You need to be prepared to present pictures manully after the day is over.

Captains Meeting

Captain's meeting before the competition where at least one person from each team must attend, at least one of them must be the Team Captain registered when entering. 

At the meeting There is a review of maritime rules, protection zones, prohibition zones and competition framework. Competition area, rules applies when anchored and minimum distance to the nearest competition crew.

How to score ponts & measure fish 

Results are based on the total length of the five longest fish in cm. 

Documentation is done with photography against a measuring board provided by organizer. 

Started centimeters are rounded down. The measuring board must be placed flat and horizontal and the tail fin may be adjusted gently with one finger. If we can’t fully verify the length by your photo you can lose centimeters down to the nearest visible one.

 Its not allowed to squeeze as the fish can be damaged. The fish should be placed carefully on the measuring board and you must not pull the fish in its longitudinal direction to improve your result. 

The fish may be held with one or two hands if needed while measuring and documenting but you must clearly see that the nose is against the edge and the tail fin at the photo. If a situation occurs where two teams has the same amount of cm the longest pike in chronological order gives advantage. 

Methods 

Reel fishing casting , spin fishing, jerk fishing and fly fishing are the styles allowed. 

Live baits, vertical fishing and trolling are not allowed. 

You may only use one rod per person active  

It is allowed to have more rods tackled and ready  in the boat. There's no rule against any kind of electronic help equipment such as sonar. Electric attractors and shock equipment is not allowed.  

Fishing is conducted only from a boat and disembarkation is not allowed except when performing nature needs or in an emergency. When disembarking, all fishing equipment must be left in the boat.

Official fineprint upon entry:

1st place entry tickets to formats cannot be sold or given away, exact value breakdown will be presented to the winners only. Winning prizes will be paid out to team captains who paid entry or company who paid entrance. Depending on what country you enter from and in what form you enter (company or private person) local tax rules in the receiving country will apply to price sum and are not born by organisor. Major format such as Fly vs Jerk or similar YouTube shows only allow two anglers to enter. Team captain who paid the entry fee to open qualification may choose two participants of the max total of three allowed in open to enter a major YouTube show. Winning tickets can’t be sold or transferred. Contract have to be signed upon entry to major formats to secure non-disclosure and secrecy (NDA). Accommodation, food, fuel or other costs are not borne by the organizer. Logistics of boat parking and battery charging will be offered and arranged at no cost or self cost by the organizer as well as we can. Hotels and stay overs will be assigned and recommended by us through e-mail and are not born by the organizer.
